PROSPECTS OF BIOFUEL LOOK GOOD

A climate-change problem prevents petroleum from remaining a great source of energy. Arizona State University researches Milton Sommerfeld and Qiang Hu have been trying to remove the carbon from oil and turn it into an almost perfect biofuel virtually identical to gasoline. They used algae which consume carbon dioxide as they grow. So far their work looks very promising, and the Time magazine judged their results to be the 11th important invention of 2008.
